Job Summary:
Medical College is seeking a dedicated and experienced General Surgeon for the position of Assistant Professor. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general surgery, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to advancing medical education and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Education:
Deliver lectures, seminars, and clinical teaching sessions to undergraduate and postgraduate medical students. Develop and update curriculum and educational materials in alignment with the latest medical standards and practices. Supervise and mentor medical students, interns, and residents in their clinical training.

Clinical Duties:
Provide high-quality patient care in the field of general surgery. Perform surgical procedures, manage preoperative and postoperative care, and ensure the highest standards of patient safety and satisfaction. Participate in clinical rounds, case discussions, and multidisciplinary team meetings.

Research:
Engage in clinical and academic research activities. Publish findings in reputable medical journals and present at national and international conferences. Apply for research grants and contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge in the field of general surgery.

Administrative Duties:
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures. Assist in the organization of academic events, workshops, and continuing medical education (CME) programs.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Educational Qualifications:
MBBS and MS (General Surgery) from a recognized institution. Additional qualifications such as DNB.

Experience:
A minimum of 1-5 years of experience in teaching and clinical practice in general surgery. Prior experience as a Senior Resident or Assistant Professor in a medical college or teaching hospital is preferred.

Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong clinical and surgical skills. Proficiency in using modern medical and educational technologies. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
