Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Resident in General Surgery to join our esteemed medical college. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general surgery, a commitment to academic excellence, and a passion for teaching and patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Provide comprehensive surgical care to patients in the outpatient department, inpatient wards, and emergency room.
Perform surgeries under the supervision of senior consultants and independently when appropriate.
Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient management.
Teaching and Mentoring:
Assist in the teaching and training of medical students, interns, and junior residents.
Conduct and supervise practical and clinical sessions.
Prepare and deliver lectures, seminars, and case discussions.
Research and Development:
Engage in clinical research activities and contribute to the academic output of the department.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in general surgery and related fields.
Publish research findings in reputable medical journals.
Administrative Duties:
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the overall functioning of the department.
Assist in the preparation of departmental reports and documentation.
Ensure compliance with medical college policies and regulatory requirements.
Professional Development:
Attend workshops, conferences, and continuing medical education (CME) programs to enhance professional skills and knowledge.
Collaborate with colleagues and specialists to improve patient care standards.
Qualifications:
MBBS and MS/DNB in General Surgery from a recognized institution.
Valid medical registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or relevant State Medical Council.
Minimum 0 to 1 years of experience in general surgery, with experience in a teaching hospital preferred.
Strong clinical, diagnostic, and surgical skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery.
Teaching experience and a passion for academic medicine.
Research experience with publications in peer-reviewed journals.
