Job Description
Medical College is seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Resident in General Surgery to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general surgical procedures and a passion for teaching and mentoring medical students and junior residents.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties:
Perform and assist in various general surgical procedures.
Manage pre-operative and post-operative care of surgical patients.
Conduct outpatient clinics, inpatient rounds, and emergency duties as required.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans.
Educational Duties:
Teach and mentor undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
Supervise and guide junior residents in clinical practice.
Conduct and participate in departmental academic activities, including seminars, case discussions, and journal clubs.
Assist in curriculum development and assessment of students.
Research:
Engage in clinical research projects and contribute to academic publications.
Encourage and support students and residents in research activities.
Administrative Duties:
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
MBBS from a recognized university.
MS/DNB in General Surgery from an accredited institution.
Registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or relevant State Medical Council.
Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Senior Resident in General Surgery.
Experience in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents is desirable.
